"All creative endeavor is born from creative stillness." Before we can have we must do. Before we can do we must think. Before we can think we must be. What is Meditation? Meditation is intentional stillness. Meditation is a tool to tap Inner Being in order to enhance Outer Experience. How is meditation different from prayer? The author of Eat, Pray, Love, says it beautifully: ". . .prayer is the act of talking to God, while meditation is the act of listening." How does meditation affect health? The deep rest of meditation dissolves tension and stress. "If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is
avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it." How does meditation help me get what I want? Stillness eliminates the busyness of thought, worry, anticipation and fear. Stillness makes way for clear, creative intention. "Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones!" Random thought produces random results. Meditation quiets mental chatter and makes way for clear, deliberate intention. "Whatever we put our attention on will grow stronger in our life." Thought generates feeling. Good feeling inspires productive action. Pay attention to feelings, for they portend outcome. To create a better outcome, generate a better feeling.
